Abstract
A poetic piece that serves as a lyrical account of the author's visit to Zbigniew Herbert's Warsaw apartment in March 2014. The author describes a space filled with books covered in Herbert's handwritten, spider-like notes, contemplating the fleeting nature of moments and the relationship between history and beauty. The poem culminates in an imaginary, metaphorical encounter with Mr. Cogito, who, in the gathering dusk of Warsaw, shares an existential reflection with the narrator on human insignificance.
